The Hostess with the Mostess

Ok, so before I get to the main purpose of this post, there are a few disclaimers:
1. No, I don't scrapbook, nor do I condone it.
2. No, I don't have my own Etsy shop that I use to sell handmade flower headbands.
3. No, I don't wear a bump-it, nor do I condone its use.
4. No, I don't wear jeans with bedazzles on them, nor do I own a bedazzler.
However, I do love designing, planning, and throwing parties, even the cutesy kind! My latest endeavor (with a lot of help from my sisters and mom) was a safari themed baby shower for Jane that I threw on Saturday, August 13th! It turned out soooooo cute!!! I cooked all the food (yes, despite popular belief, I can cook!), Cracy managed the baked goods, and Jane and my mom helped decorate!
*5th disclaimer - Yes, I'm very proud of myself and think I'm pretty fancy. If that offends you, get over it!
So, now to the good part...the pictures! Hope you enjoy my boasting! :-)
The first one is of the Mommy-to-be herself opening gifts!
The queen of the jungle and Cracy. :-)
All the goodies!

The food bar. Thanks to Jane for making most of the tissue poms, and Cracy for handling the baked goods!

My pride & joy...the invites! OMG I love them! Handwritten and hand-drawn by me!
The invite back.
My favorite element of the shower: the thank you candy bar! It turned out so well!

Well, that's all for now I guess... maybe we'll have another blog post in another 4 months. :-)
~XOXO~

  2. I for one am PISSED about the candy bar. Lots of leftovers+me having zero self control = one really bad situation.
